DBSA-GC has educational meetings on the second Monday of every month and Chicago support group meetings on the fourth Monday of each month. There are also support group meetings in downtown Chicago at Northwestern Hospital on the first and third Thursdays of each month and in Palatine on the third Wednesday of each month. Support group meetings are for both individuals that have either bipolar disorder or depression and also for family members and friends.
Our new Evanston support group meetings will be held at Evanston Hospital, 2659 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL in rooms G952 and G954. Hospital parking is available for $3.00 for up to 2 hours.
The Monday education and Chicago support group meetings are preceded by registration and socializing and convene at 7:15 p.m. The Palatine support group meetings convene at 7:00 p.m., and the Northwestern support group meetings convene at 6:30 p.m. All meetings are free, and the Chicago meetings are held in the Lower Level Auditorium of the Devon Bank, 6445 N. Western Ave., Chicago. The bank is just north of Devon Avenue on Western, and there is free parking just south of the bank. The Palatine support group meetings are held at the Palatine Public Library, 700 N. Court, Palatine, and the Northwestern support group meetings are held at Northwestern Hospital, Feinberg Pavilion, 251 East Huron, Room 2-716, Chicago. If you need directions to any of these meetings, please give us a call at 773-465-3280.
